2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class – The Mercedes C-class’s SUV-like model is scheduled to undergo an overhaul soon. And this is the very first official image of the brand-new 2023 GLC class compact luxury crossover. The model that was seen in winter testing is still sporting some camouflage, but we can clearly observe its overall form and proportions and Mercedes has released the specs regarding the new X254-generation model which will be available in the U.S. later this year.
2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Review
The new model seems to be larger than its predecessor and has an elongated stance as well as large rear fenders that are bulbous. The five-spoke wheels of the prototype sport a unique triangular design. The narrow taillights and headlights look similar to the C-class’s. Mercedes hasn’t revealed photos of the interior but promises the latest wheel design, as well as the most recent MBUX software for infotainment as well as large screens like the 12.3-inch gauge cluster that is digital and an 11.9-inch central infotainment display.
We expect that the base model will be named the GLC300 since it shares the C300’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine and a hybrid powertrain that runs at 48 volts. The combination will generate 295 horsepower and 255 pounds-feet of torque. 4Matic all-wheel drive is likely to be an option, and rear-wheel drive is standard, as the new GLC is sharing the same platform as the C class. The more robust AMG models are expected to follow and could use the same four-cylinder hybrid powertrains that are expected to be used in both the C43 AMG and C63 AMG and C63 AMG, with the C63 expected to generate more than 500 horsepower.
