2023 Volvo Trucks – Volvo Trucks Korea said last week that it was planning the launch of a powerful all-electric truck by 2023. The announcement is coming in the context of how Volvo is looking to increase its standing as a pioneer in this South Korean imported truck market.

2023 Volvo Trucks Review
The Swedish-born brand is incredibly well-known throughout South Korea, having sold more than 2,000 trucks within South Korea in 2021. This is around 40 percent of the total truck market. Volvo’s aim is to boost that percentage to 50% in 2025. Volvo came to South Korea in 1996, just a year before that Asian economic crisis. The company has since recovered and is planning that it will sell the 30,000th unit within the country by the second quarter of 2022. The company plans to sell 10,000 units over 3 years which will give a total of sales of 40000 units.

The introduction of an electric truck could have a huge impact on the company’s sales prospects over the years to come. We’re in the middle of an EV movement, but brands that have the most innovative offerings will likely win over time. In the Philippines, Volvo has yet to release an electric-powered truck model. The company hasn’t announced any plans to launch one in the near future. This is likely to change in the near future. As of now, prospective Volvo Trucks customers in the Philippines will be forced to choose traditional trucks.
