2023 Cadillac CT4-V Ratings, Pricing, Reviews and Awards

2023 Cadillac CT4-V  – Cadillac just recently unveiled the Project GTP Hypercar, which will compete in the IMSA Sportscar Championship beginning at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the following year. In this championship, it will go up against a large number of newly developed endurance racers that are backed by a variety of factory-supported teams. However, Cadillac has already been successfully racing in IMSA with the Cadillac DPi-V.R since 2017, accumulating a total of 28 victories and 84 podium finishes across numerous entries in a total of 59 races. Cadillac is releasing the 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition in order to commemorate its successes in IMSA. This special edition comes in three distinct iterations, each of which is named after a different road circuit in the United States that is on the IMSA calendar.

2023 Cadillac CT4-V Review

Maverick Noir Frost is a dark paint job that was selected for the Sebring IMSA Edition to commemorate the Twelve Hours of Sebring in Florida, which Cadillac won in 2021 and 2022. This paint job was chosen since the race finishes in the middle of the night. This gloomy hue is complemented by the brake calipers being finished in Tech Bronze and the inside accents being done in either Signet or Sky Cool Gray.

The Watkins Glen IMSA Edition features the same interior décor as the standard model, but the outside is painted Electric Blue and has Royal Blue brakes. These colors are meant to evoke the light blue guardrails that are used to demarcate the limits of the legendary race. The Road Atlanta IMSA Edition, on the other hand, has a Rift metallic paint job, which is meant to represent “the refinement of the metropolis” and “the overall heightened atmosphere of Road Atlanta.” Accents in either Adrenaline Red or Sky Cool Gray are included inside the cabin, while the exterior has Radiant Red side mirrors, Edge Red brakes, and a red pinstripe running down the carbon fiber side skirt.

In addition to unique paint jobs, the CT4 Track Editions come standard with the two optional carbon fiber packages and carbon fiber front seatbacks that were previously available as upgrades. There will be a choice between a basic manual transmission with six speeds or an optional automatic transmission with ten speeds. Vehicles equipped with the manual transmission will have a 3D-printed medallion affixed to the shift knob. Plaques on the B-pillar and the bottom of the steering wheel display the vehicle’s serial number and certify the authenticity of the Track Edition. Additionally, a sill plate details Cadillac’s racing victories at each circuit. The cars also come equipped with an IMSA emblem that is placed on the front splitter and the rear spoiler. Additionally, a checkered graphic pattern is placed on the hood and the doors, and a track outline decal is placed on the rear quarter window for each circuit.

2023 Cadillac CT4-V Release Date & Price

There will be a total production of 99 copies of each Track Edition. The manufacture of the Watkins Glen edition will run from October to December, the production of the Sebring edition will begin in January of 2023, and the production of the Road Atlanta variation will run from February to March of the following year. The price has not been announced just yet, but we anticipate that it will be much more than the base price of the ordinary CT4-V Blackwing, which is $60,390.

Changes

As at the time this article was written, Cadillac has not disclosed any official specifications on the Track Editions. Despite this, the preview picture and the other teasers that Cadillac has released do show a few things. To begin, the front and rear splitters and spoilers of the Track Edition cars are made of carbon fiber. These look to be the identical ones that were included with the Carbon Fiber 1 and 2 packages for the CT4-V Blackwing. Second, those splitters have IMSA emblems on the hoods and doors, in addition to striping on the hoods and doors. And last, the configuration of the named track is shown as a sticker on the back side window of each vehicle.

As a result of Cadillac’s assertion that the Track Editions include “unique interior packages, colors, and aesthetics,” it is quite probable that their technical components are identical to those of standard CT4-V Blackwings. As a result, these packages are rather comparable to the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette IMSA GTLM Championship Edition in terms of Cadillac’s offerings. However, it’s not like a Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in its regular configuration is a sluggish vehicle. When tested by Car and Driver, this rear-wheel-drive sports sedan with 472 horsepower reached 60 miles per hour in 4.0 seconds, and that was with a manual transmission. The automated tester at Motor1 was able to reach 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. However, despite the fact that the CT5-V Blackwing is even quicker than before, the CT4-V is more nimble and agile.

However, there is something that some people are probably hoping Cadillac would install on the Track Edition automobiles. When the Blackwings were still a secret, Cadillac made statements that they will provide an optional set of magnesium wheels that were lightweight. Even after almost two years, the wheels are still not available to purchase. However, it is difficult to imagine an unveiling that is more suitable than one that takes place on models that highlight track performance. As of the time of this writing, Cadillac has not disclosed the total number of CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions that it intends to produce. However, “very restricted” is how their availability is described in the sample photographs provided by the brand. On the other hand, we are aware of when you will be able to join the queue for one. Cadillac has announced that the order books for the Track Edition will open on August 1st, 2022. In addition, the complete technical specifications of these limited-edition sports cars will be made public not long before then.
